SANDLINES no.5

SANDLINES no.5: Modern art on canvas
Edition: 2025

Introduction:

“SANDLINES no.5” is a work that captures the depth, power and stillness of nature in its darkest and, at the same time, most refined form. Built up in rich black and modelled with real, heavily textured areas of sand, it creates a powerful interplay of light, shadow and surface.

The surface looks as if it had been formed from lava rock, a night landscape and organic movement: raw, striking and robust, and at the same time modern, minimalist and aesthetically clear. The different shades of black create a subtle, almost mystical relief that changes again and again depending on how the light falls.

An artwork that does not weigh a room down but gives it depth, character and an exceptional presence.

Artistic concept:

The SANDLINES edition reinterprets natural structures. In this work, however, it does so in its most intense form: deep black.

Every surface, every ridge and every contour tells of organic movement, like nature frozen still and captured in a single moment.

This work forgoes decorative distraction entirely and relies instead on pure presence. It speaks the language of stillness, depth and clarity. Ideal for rooms that are meant to convey elegance, minimalism and a powerful calm.
